Job Description
About the role:
We are seeking a highly motivated talented full stack web developer to join our BetterConsult development team. This position will play a key role in continuously driving improvement and innovation across our BetterConsult digital suite & projects.
You'll need 3-4 years of relevant commercial experience with strong back-end and some front-end development and a passion for building high-quality interactive web pages and web servers. You'll also need to be familiar with modern software development tools, technologies and practices and you'll need to be based in Sydney, as our engineering team come into the office to connect a couple of days per week.
What you'll be responsible for:
Writing, testing and maintain clean code
Reviewing code and provide feedback
Debugging and troubleshooting complex issues in a timely manner
Delivering product initiatives and projects on time
Collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify and implement new features
Contributing innovative and creative ideas as well as improvements
Input into future technology plans and digital initiatives
Staying up-to-date by exploring new technologies and sharing your findings with the team
Desired Skills and Experience
Skills & Experience we're looking for:
Min 3-4 years experience as a full stack who has worked in a commercial environment using both back-end and front-end programming languages to create interactive web pages and web servers
Commercial experience with Python frameworks, particularly Django
Commercial experience with Javascript frameworks, particularly React.js
Proficient understanding of version control systems such as Git/GitHub
Proficient understanding of Kurbernetes Architecture or similar
Proficient understanding of web markup, including HTML5
Excellent verbal and written communication
Organised and able to meet deadlines
You'll have worked in a cloud environment - we use Google Cloud but happy if you've worked in AWS or Azure environments
